Neukom Scholars Program

Program Description

The program's goal is to support undergraduate research across the campus. This program seeks to fund third or fourth-year students engaged in faculty-advised research in the development of novel computational techniques as well as the application of computational methods to problems in the Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Arts. Awards are $1,000/term for 1 or 2 terms.

During the term(s) you are working as a Neukom Scholar, you are not eligible for the Presidential Scholars program and may not be eligible for other research stipends or payment for the same work. Please contact our office if you have any questions about this policy or your eligibility for funding.

Application Process

Each application must include:

  • Research Proposal (limited to 1 single-spaced page) that includes a general overview of the proposed research and specifically describes the computational component.
  • Name/Department of Faculty Advisor.
  • Submit PDF proposals to the Neukom Institute.


  • Winter term 2020: October 11, 2019
  • Spring term 2020: January 24, 2020
  • Summer term 2020:April 24, 2020 NEW DEADLINE: MAY 13, 2020
  • Fall term 2019: July 18, 2019
