The 5th Annual Dartmouth Digital Arts eXpo (DAX) showcases student digital arts work from across campus. Digital arts work is a growing new area that combines art with technology in creative and innovative ways.  DAX exhibitions include animation, interactive installations, digital music, architecture, 3D printing and fabrication, sculpture, and photography.  We are also featuring a Creative Turing Test where we pit artists and writers against a computer to see if we can tell them apart.  All audience members are invited to vote for the music, poetry and journalism you think is made by a person.  There will be a dance party from 9-10 with music selected by either a DJ or a computer algorithm.  Will you know which is which?

  • 7-7:45 Animation at Hood Auditorium
  • 7-10 PM Installations and Exhibitions at the Hood Museum of Art
  • 9-10 PM Dance Party and Creative Turing Test
