Neukom Scholars Program

Program Description

This program funds enrolled undergraduates engaged in faculty-advised research in the development of novel computational techniques as well as the application of computational methods to problems in the Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Arts. Awards are $1,600/term for 1 term. In rare situations two or more students may apply to work together on the same project. If so, each student must apply separately. Those students on a leave term or not enrolled for the term they apply for, are not eligible.

Students are expected to devote the equivalent time/effort to what they would for an academic class. That is estimated to be an average of 10 hours a week during a 10 week term (approximate total of 100 hours during the academic term).

During the term you are working as a Neukom Scholar, you are not eligible for the Presidential Scholars program and may not be eligible for other research stipends or payment for the same work. Please contact our office if you have any questions about this policy or your eligibility for funding.
